Directions from Inverness Take the A82 (signposted Fort William and Loch Ness Trail) for fourteen miles to Drumnadrochit. Drive through the village until you see an ESSO filling station on the right; take the next turning RIGHT (before the bridge, next to the Lochness Inn). After 500 metres you will pass a red telephone box on the left, Ferness Cottage is 400 metres on the right. Directions from Fort William Take the A82 (signposted Inverness) to Drumnadrochit. You will pass Urquhart Castle on your rights just before arriving in Drumnadrochit approximately a mile further on. As you cross a small bridge take the next turning LEFT before the ESSO filling station (next to the Lochness Inn). After 500 metres you will pass a red telephone box on the left, Ferness Cottage is 400 metres on the right. Directions from the Great Glen Way Ordnance Survey Landranger 26 - Inverness & Lochness and Harvey's Great Way, Grid Reference 506287. The Great Glen Way passes alongside the rive Coiltie.
